Outfit Inspiration, Part 4 (Summer Vibes)

Dressing three young girls and a mom and dad can be challenging, so I worked with my client and gathered some beautiful colors, textures, and patterns to create the perfect beach look! 

I love the pull of mom's earthy warm tones against the sand and ocean.  I've put thought into each pose I will do during a session.  Each clothing item will look good together, individually, and in any combination you can think of.  All the sisters will look darling together, mom and dad will have a romantic vibe for their couples shots, and the family together will look amazing.

I got to document the sweetest cakesmash for Miss Harlee. My friend, Tanya was kind enough to let us use her gorgeous home since it was a very cold January day.

I was so inspired while shooting in the space.  I kept thinking about how much I would love to have photos of me with my girls in such a light and airy space.  I asked Tanya if I could rent her home from her and she agreed!  I am so excited that I get to offer a new kind of session in a new kind of space that makes me feel really creative!

Christmas Tree Farm Session

This year was my first time photographing Christmas Tree Minis! Plumper Pumpkin Patch and Tree Farm in Portland, Oregon was so generous and let me do a day of mini sessions on their gorgeous property! I am so grateful to them! The day was completely gorgeous with a perfectly sunny day, which is so rare for a November Day in Oregon. I had 13 families come out to see me and I have to say, the day was just SO JOYFUL.

So besides the obvious fact that this is the cutest session ever…I also wanted to talk a little about styled sessions! While I do have a LOT of props and am always happy to work with you on a creative vision, sometimes clients come to me with their own props and style and I LOVE to help you document that! And the icing on the cake was getting to shoot at the family’s private family farm, and you all know I’m a farm girl at heart!
