The thing that I want people to understand about newborn sessions is…I’ve seen it all. I’ve done it all. I’ve had babies that have slept the entire time, and I’ve had babies that never slept a WINK the entire time. Sometimes newborns are fussy. Or gassy. Or hungry. More than anything, I want new parents to know that they can trust me. Trust that I have a LOT of experience. I know babies. Sometimes baby will need extra feedings, a noise machine, to be swaddled, etc. Every baby is different and I know how to handle it all. I only a need a few moments to get the shot. And sometimes we may just need to focus more on photos with Mom & Dad because baby wants to be in the comfort of their arms. And that’s okay. We will create beautiful images together, no matter what.

Many times people ask me if they should book a full session, or a mini session. Obviously a mini sessions is more budget friendly, and who doesn’t like to save a little money? However, mini sessions aren’t always right for every family. If you have a larger family, or you have younger kiddos that need some time to warm up, or even if you just want the full experience of a relaxed, fun session - then a full session is right for you! Booking a full session allows me more time to explore your kiddo’s personalities, to bond with them and let them feel comfortable with me. It allows us to have more time for candid photos, snuggle photos, and so many sweet moments that just can’t happen in a mini session. The Stobbe family invested in a full session with me, and we were able to have so much fun and allow the kiddos to be themselves and not feel rushed or anxious about being on a short timeline. {Senior} Teya
Sometimes you just get to have the most magical session ever. Teya had a vision about the concept of her photos and she came ready to rock her session! She had flawless hair and make up, and knew her style and what would look good on her. I asked her if she was willing to shoot in the creek even though it was FREEZING and she was so into it! I love this senior session. It's absolutely one of my most favorite sessions EVER.
{Newborn} Schlumberger Family
Andrew & Lindsay are another sweet couple that I got to photograph their wedding. It's so cool watching couples become moms and dads. They have an incredibly beautiful home that was the perfect back drop to our lifestyle session, and since dad is a fire fighter we had to honor him with a sweet shot in his turndowns. Sometimes you just CLICK with clients, and this is definitely the case with this sweet family - it's like visiting friends each time I get to photograph them! Congratulations, Andrew & Lindsay!

Meet Emily. I’m pretty sure she is secretly a model. I had the honor of photographing Emily’s sister a few years ago, and recently we did a family session with them, as well! The entire family is ridiculously gorgeous and fun and stylish, and it was such a pleasure to spend time with them!
As you can see, I had a VERY hard time picking just a few favorites from this amazing session - between stunning Emily, our fabulous location, and the dreamy summer light - it was just too hard to pare it down! Enjoy!

We didn't let the crazy Oregon Coast mist and fog stop us from having an incredible session. Even though it was August, Oregon is unpredictable and it ended up being below 60 degrees... but as you can see, everyone rallied and rocked their session.
